The 2012 event will again be held at the magnificent Copt Heath course, near Solihull. The course is easily accessible from the M42 Motorway and has excellent club house facilities. To register your interest for the tournament please complete the details below. Players must have an official handicap of 24 or less and be a member of a recognised golf club. Handicap certificates may be requested.
Once again, the 2012 tournament is a charity event and, on this occasion, we will be supporting Kidney Research UK . The lives of over three million people in the UK today are under threat from chronic kidney disease. This number is set to grow as the population ages, placing greater strain on the system. Currently only one in four people receive the kidney transplant they need. 90% of people, on the transplant list are waiting for a kidney - that's around 7,000 people. The mission of Kidney Research UK is to fund life-saving research into kidney disease, to improve the quality of life of those with kidney disorders and to increase public awareness of kidney health. We run our tournament on a strict 'first-come-first served' basis and the number of players we can accommodate is strictly limited by the Copt Heath Club. Once you have registered your interest we will write to you to inform you that you have been successful ( or that we are over-subscribed ). If you are successful we will ask you to, immediately, secure your entry by donating a sum of £15 per player (more if you wish!) to Kidney Research UK, via our JustGiving web page (www.justgiving.com/Michael-Turner5). The green fees, lunch and dinner at Copt Heath have a nominal value of over £100, so players are being asked for a modest contribution in return for a superb day of golf and hospitality. All contributions will be most gratefully received and we can assure you, put to very good use.

Mike TurnerOn the 7th July 2011, Belgravium Technologies held their annual Golf Day at the prestigious Coptheath Golf Club, Solihull, West Midlands. Using the Stableford scoring system for the tournament, the course was selected to provide an enjoyable challenge where avoiding the bunkers was vital in attaining a high score. Belgravium staff feared the worst after weather forecasts predicted heavy rain. However, despite early showers, the weather held out for a bright and breezy day with 37 customers and partners heading for the tee. Entrants included client and partner representatives from all three of Belgravium Technologies companies, Belgravium Ltd, TouchStar Technologies and Novo IVC. All operating divisions were particularly well represented with players from BMI Baby, Linton Fuels and Wincanton in attendance. All of the players remained cheerful and enthusiastic throughout their round (although this may have had something to do with the Pimms and Lemonade at the 9th Hole!!!!). After a thoroughly enjoyable day, all players arrived safely at Hole 18 and were welcomed into the club house to enjoy a drinks and carvery reception. John Kembery, Belgravium Technologies Chairman announced the results with prizes being awarded for First, Second and Third places alongside awards for "Longest Drive", "Nearest Pin" and the infamous "Booby Prize". Most impressively, the top four players had all secured 39 Stableford points, the final placings were therefore determined by using the traditional countback scoring method. First place went to Mark Pulford of Palletline, who for the second consecutive year running had secured a top two placing!! Second place went to Raies Uddin of B.T Global Services who played an impressive round - scoring 39 points off a handicap of 24. Third place went to Jesse Pound of Watson Fuels. Holding up the rear (!!) was Nilesh Patel of Lintons Fuels who went away with the infamous booby prize!!! The 2011 tournament was organised as a charity event to support the Batten Disease Family Association and raised approximately £1000 towards financing research into the causes and potential treatment of this most horrible ailment. The golf day was also an opportunity to thank all of Belgravium Technologies highly valued customers and partners for their loyalty and ongoing custom throughout the past twelve months. Judging by the scores of complementary e-mails received it is clear that everyone enjoyed themselves which has prompted Belgravium to immediately re-book the Copt Heath course for 12th July 2012.
